KIRK DOUGLAS. Vintage 3.5 x 5.5 matte finish silver tone head and shoulders portrait, circa 1952, signed in blue ballpoint ink. Pristine condition. Penned almost entirely against the dark fabric of his tie and jacket, the signature displays moderate contrast, although somewhat stronger than it appears in the accompanying scan. The signature becomes quite readable when the photograph is angled slightly into the light. Surprisingly uncommon in vintage signed photographs.
