Vintage 1930s 8 x 9.75 glossy black and white chest-up costume portrait from an undetermined film (Darwell played a nurse at least four times), boldly signed and inscribed in black fountain pen, "Say Stan - /How am I doin'?/Sailor -/Jane Darwell." Fine condition, with a very slightly trimmed bottom border; mild edge wear in the right border; and a light, stray ink mark near the top left corner. Scarce.
