Eddy Duchin
EDDY DUCHIN. Vintage 8x10 glossy sepia tone half-length portrait, boldly signed in blue fountain pen, "Best wishes/Eddy Duchin." Fine condition, with mild creasing in the borders and background that detract slightly from overall appearance. Pianist and band leader Eddy Duchin was a popular performer of the 1930s and early 1940s, his smooth musical style offering a comforting refuge to society types whose sensibilities were ruffled by the free-wheeling tempos of jazz. He died at age 41 following a battle with leukemia.
