CLIFF EDWARDS. Scarce vintage 8x10 matte finish silver tone chest-up portrait, circa 1935, boldly signed and inscribed in black fountain pen, "To -/Dorothy/I finally remembered/Uu./Sincerely/Cliff Edwards." Fine condition, with light bends to the top and bottom left corner tips. Singer and actor Cliff Edwards, also known as "Ukulele Ike," introduced the song "Singin' in the Rain" in The Hollywood Revue of 1929," and also provided the voice of Jiminy Cricket in the Disney animated classic, Pinocchio (1940). He appeared in scores of featuer and short films during the 1930s and '40s, and later provided the voice of Jiminy Cricket in numerous Disney shorts during the 1950s. This is only the second signed photograph I have ever had.
