CLEO MOORE. Sexy vintage 4 x 5-1/8 glossy black and white glamour portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in black fountain pen, "To/Jimmy/Love/Cleo Moore." Fine condition, with a mild diagonal bend in the top left corner, touching the first word of the inscription, and two additional small handling bends, not substantially detracting from the overall appearance of the image. Talented and ambitious, Cleo Moore found herself, to her dismay, typecast as a hard-boiled sexpot in one B exploitation movie after another during her brief film career. Although she gained a certain popularity as "Queen of the B movie bad girls," she quit acting in 1957 after less than a decade in Hollywood, discouraged by her inability to get good roles in good films. She died of a heart attack in 1973, at age 44, and signed photographs are relatively scarce.
