CEDRIC HARDWICKE. Vintage 1956 8x10 glossy black and white MGM publicity portrait, boldly signed with his name alone in blue fountain pen along his shirt collar. Fine condition, with three small ink blots in the backgrond along the left edge, minimally detracting from the overall appearance of the image. One of England's finest character actors, Cedric Hardwicke worked frequently in Hollywood, appearing in nearly 100 films over a 30-year screen career, including Les miserables (1935), Stanley and Livingstone (1939), The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1939) and The Ten Commandments. He was reputedly George Bernard Shaw's favorite actor.
