BRUCE CABOT. Vintage 8x10 glossy silver tone half-length portrait by Robert Coburn for Midshipman Jack (1933), signed and inscribed in blue fountain pen, "To Bob/Thank you/Bruce Cabot." Fine condition, with mild edge wear, and the writing penned in the shadowy background area at the upper left, perfectly readable although somewhat difficult to see in the accompanying scan. Best remembered as Fay Wray's savior in King Kong (1933), Bruce Cabot appeared in nearly 100 films over a four-decade career, playing leads in the early 1930s and supporting roles in the ensuing years.
