Brad Davis
BRAD DAVIS. Scarce vintage 7.5 x 9.5 glossy black and white bust portrait, boldly inscribed in black felt tip ink, "To/Barry/from/Brad/Davis." Very fine condition. Best remembered for his leading role in Midnight Express (1978), for which he received a Golden Globe Award, Brad Davis won critical acclaim for his appearances on screen, television and the stage before his death from AIDS at the age of 41 in 1991. Although married and the father of a child, he took repeated career risks by playing gay characters, in Larry Kramer's The Normal Heart at New York's Public Theater, and in Rainer Werner Fassbinder's final film, Querelle (1982).
