Fine condition, with a semi-circular bend in the background to the immediate left of his right pant leg, intersecting one letter of the salutation, detracting only minimally from the overall appearance of the image. Caruso created the title role of Julien in Gustav Charpentier's 1914 operatic sequel to his more successful Louise.
